Always Remember Him
Watch Video - How can we always remember him?
Seek to know and follow the will of Christ just as He sought the will of the Father.
- What is God’s Will?
- John 5:30 - God has our well being at heart. Doing his will blesses us.
- What examples in the scriptures and around us do we see of others aligning their will with the will of God?
- Joseph Smith and finding the correct church.
- Alma the younger repenting and changing his ways.
- Nephi obtaining the Brass Plates
- Quote #1 by D. Todd Christofferson. - Me deciding to go on a mission story.
Prepare to answer to Christ for every thought, word, and action.
- 3 Nephi 27:16 - When the second coming occurs there will be a great judgement, those who repent, are baptized, and endure to the end will stand guiltless before the Lord.
- Alma 12: 14-15 - Every knee shall bow and every tongue confess the savior and will acknowledge his judgments are just, no confusion.
- This judgement is central to how the savior defined his gospel in 3 Nephi 27:13-15 - “lifted up upon the cross” is a symbolic way of referring to the atonement of Jesus Christ by which he “satisfied the demands of justice”. What does this mean?
- Because he paid all that justice demands he stands in the place of justice or is the personification of justice. Because our debts and obligations now run to Christ he has the right the judge us.
- We are judged based on our works, however we make mistakes. Because he has already paid the price of justice in full he extends mercy if our good works include repentance he forgives us of our sins and errors. “I, God, have suffered these things for all” “if they would not repent they must suffer even as I” D&C 19: 16-17
Fear not and look to the Savior for help.
- D&C 6:34–37 - Stand strong when God’s will and beliefs are different than the worlds.
- Remember the atonement. We are not perfect. We repent daily.
- Repent in Sweden means to “turn around.” We can’t keep doing the same thing and expect different results.
- Alma 36:15-22 Looking to the savior for help can bring joy and peace. As Alma remembered what his father taught about the savior, it reminded him to turn to him and repent and the joy he felt was insurmountable. God’s hands are always stretched out to us waiting for us to turn to him and repent and follow God’s will.

Quotes
- “Though it may not be easy, we can consistently press forward with faith in the Lord. I can attest that over time our desire and capacity to always remember and follow the Savior will grow. We should patiently work toward that end and pray always for the discernment and divine help we need.”
- “You and I can put Christ at the center of our lives and become one with Him as He is one with the Father. We can begin by stripping everything out of our lives and then putting it back together in priority order with the Savior at the center.”
